Jemina Asp Zayed is an artist studying textile art at Konstfack University of Arts, Craft and Design. Engaging with a range of more personal themes, the artist uses the medium of textile and weaving to express herself. In the exhibition Zayed has created a series of unique woven sculptures and tapestries representing a reflection of her own familial history along with contemporary subjects of identity and belonging. The artists’ prowess is apparent in this bold new series of sculptures, creating a call to action in her ability to create range and depth in her chosen materials and craft.
