Jemina Asp Zayed

I am an artist interested in more personal themes such as memories, identity and loss. These manifests in a variety of outputs such as weaving, printing, video and installations. I draw inspiration from my own experience in being connected to two cultures, Sweden and Tunisia. My work is often based on the material itself as a container of histories, ideas and perceptions. Through these I examine how we relate to each other, places and events. I am drawn to questions such as working conditions, working identities and destinies that reflects the complexity of class, women's roles and post-colonialism.
